Food bag - I sewed a 3/4" hem along the top edge of the HyperD300. Then sewed the bag inside out, followed by sewing and cutting corners on the bottom of the bag to create a square bottom. After the square bottom was finished, I added a top stitch to each seam for reinforcing. Lastly, I sewed 3/4" grosgrain along the top hem on half of the bag (to give stiffness for rolling the bag shut) with the 3/8" clip tags sandwiched between the grosgrain and HyperD. I finished it off by adding reinforcing stitches to each of the 3/8" tabs.
Throw bag - I sewed a hem along the top edge of the fabric large enough to allow the drawcord to slide through. Then sewed the bag inside out, added stitches and cuts to make a square bottom, then reinforced each seam with an additional top stitch seam. I then sewed in a triangular piece of MTN XL right under the drawcord openings to reinforce the seam. Then I tack stitched the two pieces of 3/8" grosgrain to each side of the bag to hold them in place. I then sewed a second piece of MTN XL around the outside of the bag, sandwiching the grosgrain, to add strength. I finished the throw bag by adding reinforcing stitches through the grosgrain and both layers of MTN XL, then added the toggle lock to the drawcord.
